New Plan

I have stopped playing online poker all together besides some free games for leagues and stuff. I found that I was spending way too much time playing and that the lower limit games where a waste of my time since the suckouts at those levels are just amazing.

My son has cancer so I havent had any time at all to play because I have been doing best to juggle taking care of my son and the rest of my family. I hope to get up to atlantic city some time next month but if not it can wait.

rough night

Last night was terrible, lost about $500. Should of stopped when I lost the 1st $100 but oh well, right now I have about $450 and im playing the $1/$2 shorthanded games on party poker. If you havent tried these shorthanded games on party poker then you have to start. These tables are amazing and they open up the kind of hands I can run. For example J-10 is now a runnable hand where at a full game it would be a easy fold in EP or MP.

With all the family issues im having its kinda hard to keep my mind on poker. This might be why I have been playing so irratic. Last 2 night I have played some NL with some of the guys from http://www.talkingpoker.com. These guys are great and 2 nights ago I had my 1st chance to play with them. They commented that I wasnt as bad as they thought I was which made me feel good. Last night though I made some stupid calls and stupid pushes, If I where judgeing my play by how I played last night I would put me at about a 3 out of 10 in play skill. I really just wasnt in it at all, really shouldnt of played last night I was very very burnt out which is the reason I lost soooooo much money.

one amazing week of poker

thursday night I deposited $25 into absolute poker to give me something to do while im not at hospitiol with my sick kid. Poker keeps my mind off the fact that my son has cancer and is a good release for tension. Well my $25 quickly turned into $300 and that $300 quickly turned into $900. Yep thats right I have a $900 bankroll now and im playing 2/4 which I dont really have the bankroll for. They suggest ad $1200 bankroll for 2/4 but its my level, meaning I feel real comfortable with the bet amounts at this level. 3/6 and above I'm a little uncomfortable with but 2/4 is just right for me, If the players on the forum knew (which they probolly do now) I was playing above my bankroll I would probolly get yelled at again shhhhh don't tell them.

Playing above my bankroll is a problem I have but If I gain $300 more I will be playing right at my bankroll. Dont really know if I want to move up to 3/6 or anything above that, tried a couple hours of 3/6 and couple minutes of 5/10 just to see how it was. Betting there is crazy so I stopped playing both and got back down to safe olf 2/4.

Welp, I have been playing terrible latley....I dont know if it has something to do with my baby being in hospitol but im sure that has some impact. I have the hardest time laying down hands and im paying for it in the long run. I like playing no limit because I can make people pay alot to chase to those terrible draws. Of course this is also costing me alot because when they hit them im screwed.

I havent been to work in 2 weeks so I really havent had the money to play poker. I will be going back on sunday so might be able to deposit sometime during end of the month. Until then I guess im stuck playing these terrible freerolls.

Tragedy at home

Havent played much poker latley....

Earlier this week they found a tumor in my 1 year old son, so ive been to Johns Hopkins about every day this week and I come home at night to take care of my other son while my wife or mother stay the night with Gavin. This really hits home since my wife's mother died of cancer about 10 years ago.

Really dont want to go into details because its too sad for me but I will get back into the playing eventully.

Crazy week

Man this week has been crazy, deposited $80 about a week ago on full tilt and started at the .05/.10 NL games. These limits really, really, really are boring but since low bankroll I decided to give it a shot for a little while. My bankroll went up and down for a little while and was taking forever to clear bonus so I moved up to the .25/.50 NL games and again I took some terrible beats and made some great moves and my bankroll ended up about $160 with the help of some deposit bonus's. Well I took some real real real bad beats today like when my KK got cracked by AJ suited when he hit his flush on the turn, we where all in pre-flop. My bankroll was now about $120 and I stopped and went over to the $1/$2 limit tables.

Well my bankroll began to increase very slowley and my bonus was clearing faster, I tried to make some moves and it went back down and then made some plays and it went back up. Well to make a long story short im at about $217 right now and very happy about this. I really like this limit and will continue to multi-table it, I will right back next week and see how im doing.
